SaulPaul celebrated the class of 2018 at the official COLLEGE SIGNING DAY event in Central Texas. Students from across central Texas attended the event along with representatives from Texas colleges and their mascots. Packed with celebratory activities and prizes, that goal was to send off these students with encouragement and the passion to reach higher.

Did you know? Central Texas has more than 136,000 students enrolled in a variety of colleges and universities. In recognition and celebration of high school seniors for their post-secondary plans, Central Texas hosts a community-wide College Signing Day, bringing together 1,000 seniors from school districts throughout our region.

Inspired by the NCAA’s National Signing Day, College Signing Day reinforces the imperative that excellence in the classroom should be given as much pomp and circumstance as excellence in athletics. NCAA’s National Signing Day is when high school seniors sign a letter of intent to play sports at a specific college. Traditionally, athletes participate in press conferences to announce their intentions.

The goal of Central Texas College Signing Day is to mimic this level of excitement for ALL students going to college.
