This year, SaulPaul was invited to perform and celebrate the inaugural MLK Parade & Street Festival in Leander, Texas. Drawing hundreds of people throughout the day, the outdoor event was hosted in honor of Reverend Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy. The theme, “Community Unity – Bright & Bold, was reflected in the diverse audience of community members. While he kicked off his special performance with his classic song, “Be the Change,” it was not too long till the crowd was dancing and celebrating with his acclaimed song, Texas Two Step.
This special event was covered by NBC’s KXAN, which caught a glimpse of SaulPaul’s performance. Along with dancing on stage, the video highlights some moments from the parade and community members sharing their thoughts about the event. Though it was their first celebration in Leander and drew out a great crowd for their first event, they expect the crowd to be even bigger next year.
