Folk Alliance’s Annual Conference was a bit different this year, but that didn’t stop the amazing, live, virtual performances under Folk Unlocked a multi day musical performance series. SaulPaul hosted an event titled My Kinda Folk: #ChangeMakers and Champions Showcase with a talented line up of award winning and world changing artists. Kicking off the night, SaulPaul invited artists from across the country, including JC Stringz, Mike Why, Kymberly Stewart, Amelia Robinson, Aaron Nigel Smith, Little Miss Ann, Karen K, Red Yarn, The Okee Dokee Brothers, Jennifer Hartman Luck, 123 Andrés, Alistair Moock, Reggie Harris, Steven Hernandez, Uncle Devin and Wendy and DB.
This year, going virtual, Folk Alliance International decided to go online and steam the “Folk Unlocked” which consisted of 800+ hours of performances from 1,000+ artists across all 50 U.S. states and over 30 additional countries worldwide stretched out over five days. Among several artists and presenters, SaulPaul was also highlighted for this work as part of the “Global Music Marathon” closing event as he performed with artists from other countries that he has been creating with throughout this year.
